The mobility, stability and organization of the hips and shoulders are important to supporting a healthy spine and full and effective breath. Hatha yoga gives us powerful tools to create mobility in the shoulders, which allows the chest to open and the breath to expand and deepen, however, we must be attentive to alignment so we are not creating imbalance in the body. In this workshop we will explore the anatomy of the shoulders, active and passive poses and pre-poses designed to open the shoulders and chest in a safe and healthy way. The workshop is suitable for curious students, teachers and future teachers.
