What is Yoga?
Yoga is a practice to ignite inner and outer transformation. Yoga practice increases strength, flexibility, and balance, as you rediscover yourself and your ability to create lasting joy and fulfillment. It builds body awareness and confidence. It calms the mind and frees the spirit. In essence, it has the power to heal and make one whole.
The word Yoga....
....is wrongly understood by many people all over the world. Some think that Yoga is only a form of physical exercise. But Yoga develops every
aspect of an individual. Each person is a mixture of physical, vital, sensual, mental, moral, intellectual and intuitional sides. Just as a house has fourwalls, a roof, windows and a door, an individual is also put together of many sides. Development of the individual, or perfection of the individual means perfection of all these different aspects. An individual must be physically strong and healthy, with good control over the senses, mastery over the mind, well-adjusted emotions, perfection in ethics and a sharp intellect. Such a person, leading a life full of dedication, will ultimately attain the divine knowledge.
